New Color Variant for Leica Cameras: A modern metallic gray finish expands the traditional black and silver Leica product design. The iconic design of Leica cameras combines function and aesthetics in a clear, distinctive form. The classic camera colors black and silver define a design that is consistently geared towards photographic practice. Leica Camera AG is now expanding this existing design language with the new metallic gray color. The metallic gray paint, specially developed at the Leica factory, underscores the exclusive and elegant appearance of Leica products. At launch, the Leica M11-P, Leica Q3, and Leica D-Lux 8 cameras, as well as the Leica APO-Summicron-M 1:2/50 ASPH. M-Lens, will be available with the new metallic gray finish. To complement this, the company is introducing a new range of elegant and functional accessories for the three camera lines. Leica M11-P, Metallic Gray Paint: The Leica M11-P is the first M camera to introduce the new color to the M-System. The discreet metallic gray finish of the all-metal body and the black controls consistently underscore the deliberate understatement of the camera's design. Likewise, the characteristic diamond-patterned leather, which visually and tactilely represents the DNA of Leica, enhances the modern appeal of all metallic gray cameras. Like all M cameras, this new color variant of the full-frame camera is precision-crafted in Wetzlar, Germany. Optional new accessories complement the metallic gray camera finish. These include a color-matched battery, a protective case, a carrying strap with a comfortable shoulder section in the also new dark brown leather, and a multifunctional protector made of smooth black leather. The latter combines a protector with a handgrip, offering protection, ergonomic support, and functionality. The base plate of the handgrip is compatible with the ARCA-SWISS coupling system, allowing the handgrip to be attached quickly and without tools to tripods using this system. Leica APO-Summicron-M 1:2/50 ASPH., metallic gray finish. Matching the M11-P, the high-performance Leica APO-Summicron-M 1:2/50 ASPH. lens is now available in metallic gray. Lens elements and the front lens cap feature a new finish, and the engraving of the feet and focal length scales is highlighted in red. The camera and lens are based on their respective production models and, in this new color variant, form a unique unit where aesthetic design and top optical performance harmonize perfectly. Leica Q3, metallic gray finish. From July 16th, the compact full-frame Leica Q3 camera will also be available in a metallic gray color variant. Its black controls provide subtle accents. Furthermore, the new Leica Q3 in metallic gray differs from the black production model by the red engraving of the feet and focal length scales on the lens. Technically based on the Leica Q3, the metallic gray version also impresses with maximum image quality, minimal complexity, and seamless connectivity, enriching creative everyday life anytime, anywhere. The optional protector and carrying strap in the new dark brown leather color offer further opportunities to express personal style. Leica D-Lux 8, metallic gray finish. Also available from July 16: the D-Lux 8 in metallic gray. This makes it the third camera to join Leica's complementary design language. Both the camera body and the FN buttons are finished in metallic gray. All other controls and dials stand out subtly in black. Equipped with the fast DC Vario-Summilux 1:1.7-2.8/10.9-34 ASPH. zoom lens, the compact camera delivers astonishing image quality in a pocket-sized format. New optional accessories lend it an individual touch. In addition to the already available black leather camera case, a cognac-colored version expands the range. A coordinated collection of carrying straps and a wrist strap in braided black leather stylishly completes the accessory portfolio for the compact D-Lux 8. The Leica products in the new color variant, as well as the new equipment, will be available worldwide in Leica Stores, the Leica Online Store, and from authorized dealers.
