Swivel locks can appear sticky if handled incorrectly (e.g. turning too quickly). loosen and tighten in the correct order 
 
 
 
Users occasionally report ball head problems (e.g. loose locking on some units), which can be resolved by tightening or replacing them 
 
 
Suitable for underwater recordings with minimal care (e.g. rinsing with water, occasionally WD-40), but the weight hook can corrode with frequent use.
