Without the grip or with older batteries (LP-E6NH/LP-E6N), the continuous shooting speed may be limited, especially when the battery is low, as the camera requires high power in H+ mode. The BG-R20 provides a constant power supply to prevent interruptions during fast-paced action scenes and also supports advanced features such as pre-continuous shooting and high frame rate video (e.g., 4K 120p or 8K 60p), which are not available with older grips like the BG-R10. Additional Benefits: The grip features a 1/4" tripod thread for flexible mounting and a compartment for securely storing the camera's battery door. Batteries are changed via a side-exit battery tray, with spring-loaded levers making swapping quick and easy. Power is supplied directly via electrical contacts, ensuring reliable power transfer.
