As the first SL lens with one focal length from 14 mm the Super-Vario-Elmarit-SL 1:2.8/14-24 ASPH expands. the SL system is a versatile and powerful super wide-angle zoom lens. Its complex optical structure consisting of 18 lenses, three of which have an aspherical surface, divided into 13 groups, excellently compensates for distortions, imaging errors and chromatic aberrations. This means that shots with brilliant image and video quality are created at every aperture and focal length.
Its range of uses extends from architectural and interior photos to street photography and astrophotography and landscape photography. The integrated metal lens hood prevents unwanted stray light and also protects the strongly curved front lens. A special holder on the side of the bayonet lock enables the use of filters.
