World's first telephoto zoom with f/2
Sony launched the Sony FE on April 22, 2025 50-150mm f/2 GM introduced - the first full-frame telephoto zoom lens with a constant f/2 aperture and a maximum focal length of 150 mm. Optimized for wedding, portrait, event and indoor sports photography, this G Master lens offers outstanding image quality and flexibility.

Focal length range: 50-150 mm, covers classic portrait focal lengths (50, 85, 105, 135 mm). 
 
 
 
Constant aperture f/2: Enables strong bokeh and excellent low-light performance, with 11-blade circular aperture. 
 
 
 
Optical Design: 19 elements in 17 groups, including two XA, two Super ED and three ED elements, for minimal aberrations. Nano AR Coating II reduces flares. 
 
 
 
Autofocus: Four XD linear motors provide fast, precise and quiet AF, compatible with continuous shooting up to 120 fps (e.g. Sony Alpha 9 III). Supports Eye AF, Object Detection and “FULL TIME DMF” switch. 
 
 
 
Close focus: Minimum focusing distance from 0.4 m (50 mm) to 0.74 m (150 mm), maximum magnification 0.2x. 
 
 
 
Video Features: Minimal Focus Breathing, Linear Response MF and internal zoom design for gimbal use. Aperture ring with de-click option and iris lock. 
 
 
 
Robustness: Dust and moisture resistant, with fluorine coating on the front lens.
